Who is This Sister?

(This is the bit about me so you can work out if I'm the writer for you. Grab a brew...)

"The idea is to write it so that people hear it and it slides through the brain and goes straight to the heart."

Hey! I'm Siobhan

After nearly a decade of classroom shenanigans and instilling a love of learning in little people, in 2015 I took the leap and went back to my first love: writing.

I’ve been writing since I can remember...from my first newspaper (featuring my Aunt's wedding as a headline and an article about the dangers of Rottweilers) to storybooks for my little sisters, then later I've branched out into the mysterious world online: from blogging to social media, and e-zine and print articles to sales pages and web content.

I’ve been a Word Witch since I left full time teaching in 2015.

Lots of my clients work in the wonderful world of weddings or in female empowerment and coaching and I'm now focused on my mission to help my fellow sisters to add fire to the female furnace via well-written content.

As a bookworm and general grammar-geek I find words come naturally to me, but it wasn't until I left the Planet of Teaching that I realised that this isn't universal: I can actually help people with my ability. My way with written words can fill gaps where some people struggle to string a sentence together on paper. And that is powerful!

With my word-witchery and your incredible talents we can reach out and support other phenomenal women.

A few quick facts about me:

I've got a BA (Hons) degree in Media Communications and Creative Writing and a PGCE in Early Years.

Addicted to gluten free cake and tea.

Ran three marathons for Action on Pre-Eclampsia.

Been with my husband James since we were 16 and we got married in 2007.

We've got two scrumptious sons and a fat black cat called Lilo.

We now live in a pretty cottage in North Devon

(which is awesome...despite the somewhat spurious internet connection).

Favourite books:

The God of Small Things - Arundhati Roy

How to Stop Time - Matt Haig

The Bastard of Istanbul - Elif Sharaf

Fave holiday:

Camping in the highlands or on the Dorset coast.

Get in touch if you'd like to work with me. With my wordy wisdom and your super-powers, we're bound to make waves together in the world of business!
